Penny is a 10 year old Shepard mix. An international rescue from Azerbaijan, she came to Little Shelter as a puppy in 2016. She was adopted and lived in a home for 9 years but due to unforeseen circumstances she was brought back to Little Shelter at the start of 2025.  Upon returning it was very difficult for her to adjust back into a shelter environment as being around many other dogs and new people created a lot of anxiety for her. As time passed and her anxiety did not improve, the decision was made that the Little Shelter Sanctuary would be the best environment for her and her needs. Surrounded by people that have worked to earn her trust and having more of her own space, she is now in a safe and comfortable place to spend her senior days.
